Be Clinical Raises INR 21 Cr to Scale Science-First Skincare
23 August 2026
A seed extension led by Sauce takes Hemangi Dhir's clinically-validated skincare brand deeper into R&D, manufacturing, and new markets.

Be Clinical, the science-first skincare brand founded by Hemangi Dhir, has raised INR 21 crore in a seed extension round led by Sauce, with participation from existing investor V3 Ventures and a set of angel investors including Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal of Mokobara, Reckitt executive Arjun Purkayastha, and Shaunak Chirayu Amin.
The Gap Be Clinical Was Built For
The skincare market in India has long rewarded whoever shouts loudest - a wall of serums promising transformation with none of the clinical rigour to back it up. Be Clinical's bet was the opposite: treat aging as a biological process to be addressed with precision, not a flaw to be marketed away. Fewer claims, more evidence.
At Be Clinical, aging is not treated as a flaw, but as a biological process we address with precision and innovation.
Why We Backed It
We invested in Be Clinical at seed alongside V3 Ventures because that distinction - evidence over hype - isn't easy to build a brand around. It's slower, and it demands discipline that most D2C brands skip in favour of a faster launch. Every Be Clinical product is built around in-vivo testing and ingredient transparency rather than what photographs well, and that's exactly the kind of harder, more defensible brand we look for.
What's Next
This is Be Clinical's third raise in under two years - INR 2 crore in May 2025, INR 6 crore in a seed round in January 2026, and now this INR 21 crore extension. The fresh capital will go toward strengthening R&D, expanding manufacturing capacity, widening the product range across skin, body, and haircare, deepening investment in clinical testing, hiring, and entering new markets.
Three rounds in three years is also a signal about the table around Hemangi: Sauce leading this extension, V3 Ventures returning, and a bench of operator-angels from categories like D2C bags and consumer health writing checks. That's not a company that needed to convince anyone twice. Congratulations to Hemangi and the entire Be Clinical team - we're glad to keep backing this one.
